- At least 1 person on board must be 18 or over & must accept responsibility for their passengers & provide proof of home address and identity.
- Life Jackets are provided FOC and must be worn by children and non-swimmers.
- All Craft and Equipment are let to the Hirers and users at their own risk and owners will not be responsible in any way for accidental or damage arising from the hire or use thereof. In the event of an insurance claim the HIRER will be responsible for any excess payments resulting in such a claim. Should damage or loss to the craft & equipment be caused as a result of wilful damage or gross negligence by Hirer, or whilst the Hirer is under the influence of ALCOHOL or DRUGS, they will be liable for the full cost of repair/replacement and any resulting costs.
- The Hirer agrees to return the craft and gear to the Boatyard at Frys Island and pay the hire charges until the craft is safely returned and be responsible for all damages or loss suffered to or by the craft and gear during such hiring.
- Crafts are only to be navigated between Caversham and Mapledurham Locks unless permission to the contrary is given and with extra instruction.
- Caversham Boat Services reserves the right to refuse hiring self-drive craft to any persons
- Whilst underway keep inside the seating area
- It is NOT funny or cool to rock the boat, it is stupid & endangers the safety of all on board and we reserve the right to cancel the hire if the safety of the craft or passengers is in doubt
- All boats subject to availability
- Operating times; 10am-5pm (Last boat out at 4pm for 1hr) only from April to October. Subject to river conditions.
OUR STAFF HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE HIRE. BAD LANGUAGE OR ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR WILL NOT BE TOLERATED
