Reading Town centre is about a 10min walk from where we are and Caversham which is a suburb of Reading but has a village like feel. Depending on where moored 10-20min.
The centre has everything you’d expect, and Caversham has pubs and local shops. We as a company can recommend The Griffin.

From your Mooring in Windsor a lot of people take an opportunity to visit Lego Land
Depending on how much cruising you want to do Hampton Court can be reached.
Upstream
Pangbourne – Approx 1 ¾ hrs away
In Pangbourne you can also visit Beale Wildlife Park
Goring – Approx 2 ½ hours cruise
Wallingford – Approx 4hr Cruise

Abingdon
The River Thames flows within a few hundred yards of the town centre, spanned by the medieval bridges which give Bridge Street its name. You can be watching the bustle of the marketplace over a cappuccino at 11am and strolling by the Thames by 11.05am.
Abingdon is a unique market town where the countryside sits on the doorstep and the rural riverbanks look across to the medieval St Helen’s Wharf. The rushing water of the lock and weir falls into the main flow less than half a mile up-river from the town centre.
Oxford – approx. 10 ½ hours
Oxford, The City of Dreaming Spires, is famous the world over for its University and place in history. For over 800 years, it has been a home to royalty and scholars, and since the 9th century an established town, although people are known to have lived in the area for thousands of years. Nowadays, the city is a bustling cosmopolitan town. Still with its ancient University, but home also to a growing hi-tech community. Many businesses are located in and around the town, whether on one of the Science and Business Parks or within one of a number of residential areas.
With its mix of ancient and modern, there is plenty for both the tourist and resident to do. Depending on Boat you have taken your journey could take to as far as Lechlade the source of the River Thames. This would be a lot of cruising time approx. 15hrs.
